¿Dónde esta Sofie?

Where is Sofie? That's a little game Jeff made up for Sofie. He called me to her room one morning and asked me to try to find her. I was getting nervous because I couldn't find her. When I finally saw her sitting on top of the hutch I was relieved and laughing hysterically. She looked so cute sitting up there. Sofie really likes this little doll. I like it too, it reminds me of her. See any resemblance?

Busqueda de huevos

Sofie's first egg hunt was so much fun! Well, at least for me anyway. I enjoyed letting her play with the treats on the floor and showing off her cuteness. I was glad to see that this egg hunt business is pretty organized. I kept worrying that my little cuddle bunny would be run over by the older kids, but apparently they split the kids up by age group. Who would have known?! Teeth and crawling have yet to come...but I'm not rushing her.

Mi hermosa bebé

Sofie is getting so big! She still has no interest in crawling. She still has no teeth but is showing all of the signs of teething. Last week we took her to the doctor because she had a slight fever. They thought she had a UTI but it turned out to be nothing. I was very upset with the nurses because they were so rough on her when they were trying to collect a urine sample with a catheder. They tried twice on one day and two more times the next. One nurse told me she was born with labial adhesion. After we saw the doctor, she said "well not anymore." I was so mad. I am sure you can understand. I was also sad this past week because I had to stop breastfeeding my little angel. My chaotic schedule at work was not allowing me to pump as often as I needed to so I wasn't producing enough. I am just glad I got to do it this long. I know she will be fine. Her little cousin Saul is crawling all over the place! He is only two weeks and four days older but has a big reason to crawl. He has a four year old sister to chase around. All three of them are going to have the best times together.

Super-papá!

Well, I forgot to mention that Jeff is staying home with Sofie now. He stopped working on Dec. 31 and has started school full time. It has been a huge change for him but he is amazing at it. He does everything and more. He is the best Mr. Mom out there! I don't have to worry about the dishes or endless piles of laundry. Sofie isn't even wearing her pj's when I get home! He does a great job matching her outfits. I know it can be overwhelming, but Jeff makes it look so easy. He is the best daddy in the world!

Que rápido crecen

They grow so fast! Well, I'm finally updating. I thought this would happen. Sorry about that. Sofie weighed 18½ lbs. on her 6 month checkup. She will be 7 mos. on Feb. 10. She likes to eat sweet potatoes and squash. She will only eat applesauce if it is mixed in with her oatmeal. We tried green beans first and she hated them. What was I thinking? I don't even like green beans. These pictures are a few that we took in December. Doesn't she look adorable in her red bow?

¡Feliz Navidad!

On Saturday we went to the Baybrook mall to get pictures with Santa. He is the best Santa ever! Ty had a good time playing with a little girl while we waited in line. Sofie had a good time sitting in her stroller. She is getting so big now. It is hard to believe she is five months now. Sofie was so happy to take her picture with Santa. I am sure next year she might not be so cooperative. I love my Sofie! I had to scan the picture so it is too big to upload. Meanwhile, please enjoy the pictures of Sofie reaching for cake. I don't know where she gets that from...we have never given it to her. Honest.

¡Fiesta!

Jeff had a surprise party. I think we really surprised him especially since his birthday was the Monday before. We had a great time! Jeff taught Sofie how to stand against the wall. He is so proud. I think it makes her look like a big girl. She is too cute! Sofie's aunt Karen took these pictures, aren't they cute?
